Based on the historic Hohenlimburg box locomotive of 1899, this distinctive design was once in service on the Hohenlimburg narrow-gauge railway. It was one of three two-axle box locomotives operating on the line, where the route’s tight curves and urban sections demanded a compact and dependable engine. In these conditions, the box locomotive proved particularly reliable throughout its service life.

Wilesco reinterprets this historic prototype as a fully functional steam locomotive model, finished in a classic green, black, and red colour scheme inspired by locomotives of the era. The enclosed body, compact construction, and clean lines give the D300 a distinctive character and an authentic period appearance.

Designed for G gauge operation and compatible with LGB systems, the D300 delivers a true steam locomotive experience. During operation, visible steam is emitted from the chimney, further enhancing its realism.

An RC speed control system is planned for this model.
